Setup of Logbook INSTRUCTIONS and BUBBLE LABELS

The Logbook sheets consist of "INSTRUCTIONS" that are printed on the left side of an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet and an array of labeled BUBBLES on the right side. To give managment the ability to control the "Instructions" and the labeling of the buttons a method has been created where the INSTRUCTIONS and BUBBLE LABELS, this information is derived from two text files found in the "Owner" folder. The setup of these text files and their use in the Strides program is described below.

BUBBLE LABELS
To control the Bubble Labels, create a tab delimited text file with the filename and location:
	"Strides\Programs\Owner\LogbookBubbleLabels.txt"

In this text file put the first word of each line the word "Bubble" plus a number 1 to 6. Then TAB and enter in the a one or two character label to be printed next to that bubble.

Example:
Bubble1 A
Bubble2 B
Bubble3 C
Bubble4 1
Bubble5 2
Bubble6 3

The program lists the name and portiion of a food from each Strider's food list and then a line with the labels and bubbles.
Assuming *** is used for the bubble shape, the example text will create the line shown below:

    A *** B *** C *** 1 *** 2 *** 3 ***

It will be in the control of the person intrepreting the data input by the form to dewtermine the results of the data input.

[Default Bubble Labels] If this file is not found then the Bubble Labels will be: 1 2 3 4 5 6

INSTRUCTIONS
The Instructions that appear on the left side of each sheet will be whatever is written in a text file with the filename and location:
	"Strides\Programs\Owner\LogbookInstructions.txt"

[Default Instructions] If this file is not found then the instructions will be:

PORTIONS for each food listed, mark number of portions you ate
   1 portion: bubble 1
   2 portions: bubble 2
   3 portions: bubble 3
   4 portions: bubble 4
   5 portions: bubble 5
   6 portions: bubble 6

NEW FOODS write names of NEW foods in white space labeled 'NEW' but use the same line number each day for this NEW food. Then fill in Portion and Timing bubbles.

NOTE ON READING BUBBLE SCAN DATA
The Bubble Scan reader reports into a tab delimited text file, a number that represents each bubble filled in by the user. The person responsible for data analysis them must interpret the information recorded. This gives wide flexibility in the use of the Bubble Scan data, depending on what the instructions are for filling out the data sheet. Therefore inserting "Instructions" and "Bubble Labels" can make the Logbook Form operate in a number of different ways.

For example, the Logbook form can be used to create a "favorite foods' list by instucting the user to fill in number from 1 to 6 that indicates the rating of a food on a 6 point scale.

Or the Logbook form can be used to designate the days of the week that each food was consumed with the first 5 bubbles designating the 5 weekdays and bubble 6 designating the weekend. In this case the Bubble Labels could be: M T W Th F WE.

NOTES in white space below, write notes about foods and portions eaten today.
